EXIT Suit

EXIT Suit - Will Warren

This project supported the development of the Exit Suit, a exoskeleton suit designed to enable further physical immersion in the virtual world.

We worked on the development of a custom variable friction joint, to be controlled in realtime. Specifically applying friction to both the knee and elbow joints. We also worked on implementing a force feedback based elbow joint using a high torque BLDC servo motor. All of these mechanical systems we controlled in realtime by a custom unity tool, feeding into our control electronics.
