Linear actuator platform
This project supported the makers and designers at LL&Co to develop a dynamic architectural model.
For this project, Kai Lab developed a mechanism to robotically actuate the top floor of a pre-existing structure. We were provided with CAD models and load requirements, and from here designed an actuator that was functional within this framework. This included 3D design for printing and laser cutting, mechanical assembly, and stepper motor motion-control firmware with auto-homing.
