Circles of Light
Circles of Light is an installation that connects live plants to an interactive sound and lighting display such that the audience is able to alter the audiovisual output by touching the leaves and stems of the plants. As a result, the audience is in control of the evolution of the piece, which changes continuously throughout its showing. A bio capacitive touch interface based on research from the Touche project by Disney Research Lab was used to create this experience.
Circles of Light was shown at White Night, Melbourne, in the summer of 2015.
For this work, our engineer and designer Sean worked with the Australian-based NODE laboratory and the Design Circle.
